The Witch Trail

Let yourselves be charmed as you follow in the footsteps of our herbalist witch Lizi. The Witch Trail is an easy but bewitchingly thrilling hike over the fascinating high plateau of Wirzweli.

The new 6-person cable car between Eggwald and Gummenalp brings you to the start of the Witch Trail at 1559 m above sea level, where you will be able to enjoy the enchanting view of the Wirzweli holiday village and follow the signposts to the Witch Trail until you find the gateway. Once through the creaky old doors, you begin your magical adventure, which descends gently through the mystical wood and over rich pastures, past various bewitching activity stations.

An open-air barbecue complete with wood, grill and seating area can be found along the route.

An easy walk, suitable for children from age 4. Not suitable for pushchairs.
